Cann Valley \ Marketing Toolkit for Success & Sustainability

Objective

To promote Cann River and the surrounding Cann Valley region as a tourism destination with abundant nature tourism appeal, a charming town centre and unique historical elements.

Developing a strategic marketing plan through community consultation to support the tourism goal of ‘linger longer’. This included a rebrand, the creation of a marketing toolkit, library of digital assets, design elements and digital infrastructure that can be utilised by all community groups, commercial operators and committee members to deliver new and ongoing economic outcomes across the Cann Valley district.

Strategy

Working alongside the Cann Valley District Representative Group (CVDRG), with funding from the Gippsland Community Foundation, Neonormal provided ongoing support from the initial rebrand briefing, to asset creation, collateral design and delivery, through to the launch, activation and promotion on behalf of the Cann Valley District Representative Group.

In order to foster a community-led approach and sustainability, Neonormal also assisted in the hire and training of a paid marketing coordinator position to ensure long-term successful implementation of the strategic marketing plan, utilising the toolkit to increase visitation to the region. Such ongoing, incremental and sustainable economic growth through tourism was a key priority for the CVDRG.

Results

A contemporary tourism destination brand, paying tribute to what makes Cann River unique, rolled out across an easy to implement tool kit of assets, content and collateral.

The website, digital infrastructure, photography/videography assets and marketing collateral created are being used and promoted by local community groups, destination marketing organisations and other key stakeholders such as local and state government departments.
