Moving into its second year, the East Gippsland Winter Festival was ready to make a name for itself and solidify the event as a staple in the winter calendar.

Neonormal was asked to design and deliver a paid and earned media + marketing plan to promote the 2022 East Gippsland Winter Festival to audiences outside the region, while building consistent and collaborative coverage from media and the community across the East Gippsland shire.

Experience

Neonormal designed a comprehensive media and marketing plan to garner a far-reaching campaign for the 2022 festival. Covering editorial webpages, social media posts, eDMs, radio content, TV advertisements, rock posters, billboards, newspapers, magazines, competitions and local support, the media and marketing plan delivered by Neonormal gained significant support.

Metro Melbourne, being a target audience for the festival, saw success through social media posts and eDMs featuring competitions – a fantastic opportunity for repeat visitors to the region.

Local support grew, with assistance from a Marketing Toolkit created by Neonormal, with businesses showing their support for the festival via posters, social media posts and event participation – creating a palpable feeling through-out the region.

Outcome

In collaboration with local and metro media outlets, Neonormal designed and delivered a successful plan that generated interest from across the state to East Gippsland, through a strong marketing and communication strategy, the 2nd year proved a must-visit event in the chilly Victorian months.
