Brief

We partnered with growing vehicle brand GWM to bring their 2022 World Surf League sponsorship to life with an experience that engaged fans on the ground, leading to greater exposure and brand awareness. We were tasked with positioning GWM as the preferred vehicle for surfers and fans alike.

Experience

An Epic Playground, pulled out of the tray of a GWM Ute, took pride of place on the beaches of Snapper Rocks and Manly. Filled with ‘epic’ games, think giant jenga, giant connect four and 4-way volleyball, the playground drew spectators in that were looking to expel some energy after watching the talents of surfers from the world over.

The Neonormal team travelled to Snapper Rocks in Queensland and Manly in New South Wales, where the weather produced a sun-kissed, sandy location for punters to play a game of giant dominos while checking out the latest Haval SUV vehicles and associate roadtrips searching for epic fun with the GWM brand.

Sally Fitzgibbons, surfing legend and GWM ambassador, couldn’t resist a game of spike ball before signing posters and surf boards, a fantastic link between a healthy lifestyle and epic, environmentally friendly travel.

Outcome
